Situated on an unnamed road in the enchanting town of Luang Prabang, Mali Coffee is a hidden gem that beckons coffee lovers and casual passersby alike. This charming cafe thrives within the bustling atmosphere of the morning market, inviting visitors to indulge in quality brews while soaking in the vibrant culture of Laos.

What sets Mali Coffee apart is not just its strong, delightful coffee but also the warmth of its service. Customers rave about the friendly demeanor of the baristas, particularly Venus, who consistently greets patrons with a smile and a chat that makes each morning stop feel personal and welcoming. As Christine Milton beautifully expresses, “The coffee is so tasty... I loved getting it and just people-watching in the market.”

The menu at Mali Coffee is straightforward yet appealing, focusing on expertly crafted beverages that cater to both coffee aficionados and casual drinkers. Whether you’re in the mood for a robust Americano—available for a friendly price of 10,000 LAK—or prefer to savor an espresso or a creamier hot drink priced at 15,000 LAK, each cup promises satisfaction. As Lora Martinez points out, the americanos are “great and strong,” making them a perfect companion for your market explorations.

If coffee isn’t your only indulgence, the cafe also offers a delightful selection of blueberry shakes that can satiate any sweet craving. Asha Vasu shares her pleasure after trying the blueberry shake, emphasizing the myriad options available, including coffee beans and handmade scarves, which serve as perfect souvenirs to remember your visit.

However, any cafe can have an off day, as noted by customer Ben Johnson, who experienced a less-than-perfect latte. His approach to rectify the situation—engaging with the staff rather than jumping to conclusions—reflects the excellent customer service ethos at Mali Coffee. The staff’s willingness to amend the error and their unyielding charm assures that second chances are well worth it, leading him to report, “Nice coffee, good service, nice friendly vibes.”

Brad Aldrich encapsulates the essence of Mali Coffee beautifully, highlighting it as a “brilliant little coffee shop” that adds a spark to the morning market experience. The refreshing options available at the cold-pressed juice stand located next to the coffee bar make for an ideal pairing to start your day right.

Mali Coffee is more than just a cafe; it's an experience. Whether you’re seeking a quick caffeine fix, a place to unwind with friends, or simply want to soak in the lively market atmosphere, this cafe delivers. Don’t miss the chance to visit Mali Coffee on your next trip to Luang Prabang; it's a perfect blend of rich flavors, local culture, and warm hospitality that will keep you coming back for more.

Wow, what a gem of a place!!! Just by chance I went to the morning market and found this place. The coffee is so tasty. I loved getting it and just people watching in the market. Venus is so sweet. I enjoyed talking to her each morning. Can't wait to go back to Luang Prabang and drink her coffee.

Great and strong americanos made by a nice girl. Definitely recommend when you visit the morning market. Americano and espresso is 10k and other hot coffee drinks are 15k.

Nice spot - was unfortunate to get a bad latte yesterday, but if this happens, don't go straight to a bad review, speak to the staff here; they are friendly and will fix - they did not charge for the bad coffee, so thought only fair to come back and give it a second chance... Pleased to report today's is much better. So now, can confidently say: - Nice coffee - Good service - Nice friendly vibes on the terrace and the morning market hubbub makes for a lovely spot to people watch

Brilliant little coffee shop right in the middle of the morning market. Big smiles form the staff, English is spoken. They also have a cold pressed juice stand next to coffee shop. Great way to start the day :)
